Auction: Media Molecule’s Framed Concept Art & Rare In-Game Item

You might have noticed on Friday that our friends at Media Molecule posted five huge auctions. In case you haven’t, here’s the the lowdown on four framed pieces of concept art and the rarest of rare in-game items a LittleBigPlanet fan can possess.

Hello treasure hunters! This is an auction for a signed, framed original piece of LittleBigPlanet concept artwork, and a signed copy of LittleBigPlanet for PS3. Shall i go on?

The artwork is by the very sexy Francis Pang, the chief creator of Sackboy, and shows some ideas for the development of our beloved hessian chum, and if we may be so bold, a piece of gaming history. In the words of Indiana Jones, this belong in a museum!

There are four of these pieces of artwork, each one is different, and as they are the originals, they unique. It comes all nice and framed, by a local pro. See our other auctions for the other three, plus more things!

Gadzooks! A super special signed copy of LBP2

We’re also going to include a copy of LittleBigPlanet 2, which comes with a customised mega uber rare ‘Mm Special edition’ box art slip that has been signed by the whole team here at Media Molecule. There are only a small number of these custom covers in existence, as they were originally intended to be owned only by Media Molecule staff.

The game inside can be a US, EU or JP copy – your choice!

This is an auction for an in-game crown item for your Sackboy for use in LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 on PlayStation 3.

These are very rare, and usually reserved for competition winners and people who go above and beyond the call of duty.

This is your chance to buy yourself into royalty. Some may see this as cheating (OMG), but by winning this item you will be aiding people in need, and we think that is very worthy of recognition indeed. Naysayers be damned, this is the real deal!

The concept art auctions close on April 1 in a 15-minute window between 07:01:14 PDT and 07:16:14 PDT. The Crown DLC auction closes a few minutes later at 07:28:47 PDT. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.
