Auction: Game Boy Advance SP signed by Shigeru MiyamotoI have just dropped an auction for an autographed Game Boy Advance SP: Famicom Edition that I had signed by Shigeru Miyamoto. It’s in great condition, and it’s not like you can play for GBA favorites on your 3DS, right? This auction is for a Game Boy Advance SP: Famicom Edition autographed by Nintendo mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto. This Game Boy Advance SP is from my personal collection, and I had this autographed during E3 2006.The unit itself is in perfect condition, and while I played with it a few times prior to having it signed, it’s in working order. Note: this is a Japanese GBA SP. However it is region free and will play US/EUR/AUS titles just fine. This Game Boy Advance comes as is, without box or charger. Not only is this your chance to get your hands on a hard to find Game Boy Advance SP unit, but one that’s been signed by Shigeru Miyamoto! This auction closes April 19th at 12:18:16 PDT. All proceeds of this auction benefit the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund – a GlobalGiving Project.

Auction: Halo: Reach Hair ClippersNo, you read that listing correctly. PFJ co-committee member Sterling McGarvey has auctioned a set of Halo: Reach-branded hair clippers. You are bidding on a set of Halo: Reach-branded hair clippers. These were sent to me as a promotional tool in spring 2010 to promote the Halo: Reach beta. While I kept the copy of Halo: ODST that accompanied the promotional set, I have no need for the clippers and thought they’d make a cool keepsake, especially since the case was labeled with my name. But now, I feel that they’re better suited in the home of a bigger Halo fan, and I’m happy to sell these to one of them for this urgent cause. This auction ends on April 6 at 22:25:56 PDT, with all proceeds benefitting Global Giving.

Auction: E3 2005 Limited Edition Xbox 360 Faceplate
Sterling McGarvey (wait, that’s who’s posting this) has posted an auction for a limited edition Xbox 360 console faceplate from E3 2005. Only 5000 were produced for people attending. You are bidding on an extremely limited edition Xbox 360 console faceplate from Microsoft’s pre-E3 press conference at the Shrine Auditorium on May 16, 2005. This was the first time outside of Microsoft’s MTV special that the console was unveiled to most of the gaming media. Only 5000 of these were distributed to gaming media and industry. This is number 2564/5000.Though the faceplate has never been used, the clear plastic case has some wear and tear from being moved around over nearly six years, and when I relocated from the East Coast to California for work, a curious family member decided to open the case and have a look inside, which I discovered a few months later. As a result, again, there is some minor wear around the case, but the faceplate itself is very much intact and the case still has etchings with the date and faceplate number on the back of the case. I’m willing to update with photos of the back of the case upon request.Want a piece of history, both for gaming and for Mr. McGarvey’s career milestones (this writing in third-person is creepy)? The auction closes on April 4 at 21:54:10 PDT. All proceeds from the sale benefit Global Giving.
